Franco Buzzi

Franco Buzzi received his degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Turin Technical University in 1975. He began his career in the area of intellectual property after working in the aircraft industry and has been active in private practice since 1977. In addition to drafting and prosecuting patent applications and client counseling, his experience includes an extensive litigation practice as a technical expert both for clients and the Courts. His main areas of expertise include mechanical, automotive, hydraulic and railway engineering, textile machinery, printing apparatus, medical appliances, plastics material engineering and laser technology.

Admitted to practice before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office as well as the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office), and a member of AIPPI, Mr. Buzzi is fluent in English and French, with knowledge of German and Spanish.

Giancarlo Notaro

Giancarlo Notaro received his degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Turin Technical University in 1977. He began his career in the area of intellectual property after a short experience in the heavy vehicle industry and has been in private practice since 1977. His experience includes periods of residence with leading US firms specializing in intellectual property law and covers litigation, prosecution and client counseling. His main areas of expertise are mechanical, automotive and aeronautical engineering, agricultural machines, microtechnologies, optics, nuclear technology and industrial plant automation. He also has a long experience in the protection of industrial designs.

Admitted to practice before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office as well as the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) and a member of AIPPI and FICPI, Mr. Notaro is fluent in English, with knowledge of German, French, and Spanish.

Mauro Marchitelli

Mauro Marchitelli received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Turin Technical University in 1986 and, being active in private practice since 1988, has achieved an extensive experience in all areas of intellectual property law. He has been a speaker and lecturer on intellectual property law topics, his main areas of expertise being: machines and systems for manufacturing absorbent sanitary products, components for the automotive industry, injection systems, packaging machinery, agricultural machines, machines for manufacturing cigarettes, lighting systems.

Admitted to practice before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office as well as the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office), Mr. Marchitelli is fluent in English, with knowledge of German and French.

Franco Gallarotti

Franco Gallarotti received his diploma in Business Administration from the School of Management of the Turin University in 1987. Following a two-year training period in intellectual property, he began his career in the patent department of one of Europe's leading manufacturers of household appliances. Since 1993 he has been active in private practice, his main areas of expertise being "white" household appliances and related components, coffee machines and capsules, robotics and automation, kitchen and bathroom taps and fittings, electronic cigarettes, boilers and heat exchangers, medical and testing equipment, as well as components for the automotive industry, specifically pressure sensors, level sensors, heating devices, actuators.

Admitted to practice before the European Patent Office, the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) as well as the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. Gallarotti is fluent in English, with knowledge of French.

Stefano Frontoni

Stefano Frontoni received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Turin Technical University in 2005 and he joined the firm the same year. His experience includes periods of residence with leading US firms specializing in intellectual property law and a training period with the Board of Appeal of the European Patent Office. Stefano's professional activity covers litigation, prosecution and client counseling. His main areas of expertise are industrial production, robotics and industrial plant automation, machines for the food sector, and inventions in the automotive field.

Admitted to practice as Patent and Trademark Attorney before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office as well as the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office), Mr. Stefano Frontoni is fluent in English, with knowledge of German.

Paolo De Bonis received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Turin Technical University in 2008 and he joined the firm in the same year. His experience includes periods of residence with leading US firms specializing in intellectual property law and covers drafting and prosecution of patent applications as well as patent search. His main areas of expertise include mechanical and automotive engineering, internal combustion engines, medical and biomedical devices, cardiac prostheses, instruments for heart surgery, automated machines, hydraulic systems and railway vehicles.

Gianluca Notaro

Gianluca Notaro graduated in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico of Turin in 2011, with a specialization in avionic systems. Before graduating, he collaborated with a company in the sector of automotive components.

He worked four years at an international automobile manufacturer, executing also an educational experience in the United States of America, in particular being involved in the performance development phases of new products.

He joined the firm in 2015. He assists clients in the mechanical sector, dealing with prior art searches, interference analysis, drafting and prosecuting European and Italian patent applications. His experience includes a period of cooperation on site with a leading US law firm specialized in intellectual property.

Admitted to practice as Patent Attorney before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office.

Filippo Buzzi

Filippo Buzzi received his degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Turin Technical University in 2006. He began his career in the area of renewable energy and, following a training period in the patent department of one of Europe's leading manufacturers of household appliances, he worked for years in the field of aerodynamics in a company of sails for boats.

He joined the firm in 2017. He assists clients in the mechanical sector, dealing with prior art searches, interference analysis, drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
