Luciano Bosotti received his degree in Electronic Engineering from the Turin Technical University in 1976. The recipient of patents himself, he began his career in the area of intellectual property as a corporate patent attorney and has been active for over 40 years in the profession. His experience covers all areas of intellectual property law, including litigation, prosecution and client counseling. He has been a frequent speaker, lecturer and writer on intellectual property law topics. His main areas of expertise are information and media technology, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, computers, software-related inventions, semiconductor devices, medical and biomedical devices, sanitary products, food-related technology and automated packaging machinery.
Admitted to practice before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office, the EUIPO and a member of AIPPI and FICPI, Mr. Bosotti is fluent in English, German and French. He is a past president of the Board of Directors of Italy's professional institute of Patent Attorneys (Ordine dei Consulenti in Proprietà Industriale) and a former member of SACEPO (Standing Advisory Committee of the EPO).
