Luciano Bosotti received his degree in Electronic Engineering from the Turin Technical University in 1976. The recipient of patents himself, he began his career in the area of intellectual property as a corporate patent attorney and has been active for over 35 years in private practice. His experience covers all areas of intellectual property law, including litigation, prosecution and client counseling. He has been a frequent speaker, lecturer and writer on intellectual property law topics. His main areas of expertise are information and media technology, telecommunications, computers, software-related inventions, semiconductor devices, medical and biomedical devices, sanitary products, rubber and plastics materials, food-related technology and automated packaging machinery.
Admitted to practice before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office as well as the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) and a member of AIPPI and FICPI, Mr. Bosotti is fluent in English, German and French. In 2010-2015 he was the president of the Board of Directors of Italy's professional institute of Patent Attorneys (Ordine dei Consulenti in Proprietá Industriale). He is a member of SACEPO (Standing Advisory Committee of the EPO).
